 What is DANO?
– Korea Summer Festival!
DANO is
celebrated when Yang energy is thought to be at its highest. Festival
activities are such as women treat their hair in special iris extracts and men
show off their power in Ssireum (Korean wrestling). It is also customary to
present DANOSUN (specially decorated fans) to friends and family in preparation
for approaching long and humid summer. This year, DANO falls on 8th June.
